The Nova 500 NEMA Springback Tester performs the magnet wire springback according to NEMA-1000.
The motorized tester has a mandrel with three sets of diameters that accommodate wire sizes from 30 AWG to 14 AWG. The motor and control rotates the mandrel three (3) revolutions to wind the wire. On completion of the test, the graduated scales indicate the springback value. Springback values are used to determine the softness of the copper wire.
